Through this journey, many have asked how they can get involved. This has been and continues to be humbling and overwhelming. The ways in which we have solicited help has changed concurrent with our circumstances.
Today, the need for assistance is not just mine and Emily’s (and it never was). For all the progress made in awareness and treatment of various cancers, one statistic remains painfully true: 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 woman will get cancer in their lifetime. Plainly put, you or someone you love more than anything will get cancer.
But there is hope for a cure. Right now, we know of two active ingredients: money and time. Time happens on it’s own, but the money has to come from somewhere.
There are an abundance of organizations that fund cancer research. More than I can list and certainly more than I can research. So I have listed one.
